I got tons of photos of the CIRY switchers. Anyhow the far majority was taken at the last day of service with 1206. The same is true video clips. The older "blue" switchers are better found by searching for DSRX 120n engines.

Dave, I understand the 1208 had a life before it got vandalized and abounded. It was at one time dark blue (the standard DSRX/CIRY blue) with red stripes and in regular service (There are a few photos of that area around 2004). The tagging happened later on the small CIRY yard when the engine was not used anymore. At the very end (2010) got the engine a new lighter blue paint (similar to Conrail) to cover the tagging but no lettering and no red stripe. The engine has not been in service in status.
That is also the status of my model today. I intend to add lettering and red stripes to model the status of about 2004.

This is the 1208 in 2008 close to the end of it's active service time. Please notice parts of the red stripe and the "dark" blue

This is the engine in 2009 with the "Conrail" blue paint covering the tagging but still in service together with 1206

This photo from August 2009 shows the plus paint at the ground (left hand)

and in 2010 it is abounded and later photos show the windows plated with plywood

The 1209 has been used in blue/red stripe paint scheme too over many years before it got the black/orange paint. But the long handrails do not match the short ones of the Proto2000 CBQ model. That limits my choice to 1208 (dark blue or CBQ) and 1206 (dark blue and later on tagged or light blue and abounded).

ps. I did never fully understand the commercial and legal relationship between CIRY, DSRX and D.O.T. transportation. I do also not really understand what road names are painted on the engines and what company had the assets in their books.
