Your hunch is right. Most Atlas kaolin tank cars have built dates between 1976 and 1980, which match several freight car database. A folk from a local railway association recently shown me several pictures taken circa 1980-1981 in Quebec City area and kaolin cars could be clearly spotted. Some had the local paper mill logo on them (leased cars from UTLX if I recall).

I recently found 5 old Atlas kaolin car from older runs at their original retail price. All were brand new, unopened.

@Brakie, I was recently reading about bagged goods for farmer's coop recently. This is a trafic I want to replicate, using older 40ft boxcars.
