Baldwin Info....

I was just doing a little research on Baldwin diesels as I am a big Fan of their cab units, and wanted to show a few of the more interesting bits of info on them.

Air throttle Mu system. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://baldwindiesels.railfan.net/throttle/index.html">http://baldwindiesels.railfan.net/throttle/index.html</a><!-- m -->

MU controls in general. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://railway-technical.com/us-musp.shtml">http://railway-technical.com/us-musp.shtml</a><!-- m -->

A decent amount of Baldwin info here.. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.american-rails.com/baldwin-rf16.html">http://www.american-rails.com/baldwin-rf16.html</a><!-- m -->

A shot of a BLW cow and calf that shows the unique air throttle MU system, <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://baldwindiesels.railfan.net/uss/rouchleau1214b.jpg">http://baldwindiesels.railfan.net/uss/r ... u1214b.jpg</a><!-- m -->

The Baldwin air controls was where the term "lash up" came into being from what I have read. They would not play with EMD or ALCo so in order to consist them the controls had to be lashed up. It wasn't easily done.
