South Florida Reload

Thanks Gus.

I obtained the ready made palm trees from this retailer here in the UK. https://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/palm-trees.html

The Gold Coast Beverages warehouse has already received some light weathering.

Alcanman,

Do U.S. citizens pay VAT on these items and does the tax and shipping greatly exceed the cost of the trees? I only ask since I am going to purchase a Deans Marine container ship from The Model Dockyard in Redruth in the UK and they claim their orders to the U.S. are VAT free. Does it differ from seller to seller?

Thanks,

Larry

Larry: sales tax is supposed to be deducted on stuff shipped out of the country. Some businesses can't be bothered.

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.

Larry, best to check with the vendor, this particular vendor has a EU Non VAT statement on line, but how it works to the US I don't know.
It does seem to indicate that they would be able to ship VAT free, for you to pay your import and local taxes in the US, but best to ask.

It is the perfect mix of trees and palm trees forming a very scenic green backdrop wall.

A nice done video clip. What kind of camera are you using? I need to get my iPhone6 plus attached to my tripod.

Thanks Reinhard. I use a Panasonic HDC-SD40 video camera. Who wouldn't want a SD40! Icon_lol

A tripod is essential. I use a vintage Linhof, substantially built in 'West Germany'. It's very old but operates very smoothly.
