WTB Propane Tank Cars
#1
Hi,

I'm looking for second hand propane (LPG) tank cars with paint scheme suitable for the 1980s.

Generic roadnames (CGTX, ACFX, UTLX, etc.) or Canadian roadnames would be preferred, as long as it fits the era. I have a preference for Atlas and Athearn cars: long ones and short ones.

I don't mind if cars need some minor repairs, as long as they are useable and salvageable.

PM me with your offer.

Matt,

If you don't have any luck with the Athearn or Atlas cars, I have three unbuilt Walthers tank cars. Two 65' LPG cars, one Procor, Walthers number 932-5252 and one GATX, 932-5256 and one 54' RAIX 932-5206.

Bruce, they could do the job indeed, particularly the Procor and GATX. If they fit the time period, it's fine with me. Do you know if there's any indication on the RAIX tank car about which commodity it hauls?
