Building an HO Scale Switching Layout...New Videos Added
#1
Allow me to introduce my layout, the Southern Pacific Burbank Branch. It's small and portable since I rent, but also designed to be expanded. Some things I've modeled as close to exact as possible, while artistic license was used on others. Mostly, I try to find low cost ways and quick results, so scratchbuilding is preferred.

I've documented this build from day one, and much more is posted on my Youtube and Flickr pages.

Here are links to the newest videos, So sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery!

Great layout, great tutorials and great videos.
May I have heard your voice in some other (commercial) videos? You sound familiar and professional to me. Anyhow you are very easy to understand by a German.

Thanks! However, that voice is not mine. It's computer generated, I type, he talks!

From your MRH blog

"That voice is the voice of the one and only Mr. Harry English! That guy is great so easy to work with. Actually, if you visit : http://www.fromtexttospeech.com/ you can hire him too! It's the least robotic sounding voice I could find."

That works fantastic.

Just a quick layout update for July-August, work continues at a steady pace with efforts going towards building and weathering covered hoppers. Enjoy!

Here's a Proto 2000 kit built hopper

An Accurail kit with the ladder rungs and grab irons replaced and details added. Not weathered yet.
