The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #VIII.. Stop In!!!
Good morning everyone, and a Happy St. Paddy's Day ta ya all.....

Temps drop a wee bit today, and even more tomorrow. Slight chance of rain today, good chance tomorrow. No sense in getting the van washed now, rain still in the forecast clear though next week.

Going to try to get to Walmart this morning. Not much hope for finding staples though. Eggs, bread and more than just paper goods are cleaned out. Our friend called Costco and asked if they had toilet paper every day. They said yes, but it's gone in about 20 minutes.  Another friend lives near the Costco that we go to. He said that they're in line at 4:00, and they don't open until 10:00. He said that the checkout lines go clear to the back of the store. Yes, our lady friend conceded that it would be a bad idea to go there this week.

Getting a few things done on my "one square foot" challenge. There's still time for everyone to enter, so get to it, it's fun, it's productive and it's creative, so let's get a few more participants.

St Patrick's day Blue. Cloudy and maybe 50 for the day.
Yes the madness continues here as well. I figure we have food/supplies into next week. Hopefully things will have calmed some if DC doesn't add any more restrictions on us citizens.

Top o' the mornin', gang.

31 and sunny headed for 45 and sunny later on. Of, course our highly trained professionals at the National Weather Service has been predicting mid 40s since Sunday. I guess they'll just keep saying that until it happens. Rain starts tonight and lasts through Thursday night. Full disclosure - it did finally make to 40 yesterday afternoon. Well short of the 45 predicted.

Quiet day yesterday. I was out and about yesterday to pick up a couple of items. Then stopped at Papa Murphy. When I walked in the manager said "Hi, Tom. Your usual?" Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Went for an hour walk yesterday but managed to walk right past the ice cream place without stopping.

This morning I went to Walmart and picked up a few things. Then stopped at another grocery store and stocked up on Powerade. I normally but 2 bottles of each flavor but went wild and crazy and bought 3 of each flavor. That's the closest I'll get to stockpiling.

I did wear a green shirt todoy in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

All stay safe.

Good afternoon folks,

Temperature is 44. We are expecting a high of 56.

It was a little to cold to do yard work yesterday. A little warmer today but rainy so don't think I will get it done today.

Worked on weathering a couple of cabooses. Will continue working on some more weathering.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Gov. closed bars and restaurants.  Takeout and drive-thru only.

Been working hard on phone trying to feed kids.  School system should be shot.  Will not go there.  Get frustrated with bureaucrats.

Watched guy take up old carpet and install new at FIL's.  Be glad when it is sold.

Cabbage and beef tonight.

My wife found out today that the grocery store has a "seniors only" from 7 to 8 in the morning.
The bookstore chain sent a note that they are closing from today. I thought essentials were staying open!
Gas is now the cheapest since we bought the car -- and for a time before that, tho' I haven't checked.
I'm making a Kadee height checker for a friend who installed a Kadee on an awkward British car for me.

Good morning all. chaos prevails. The cities of Phoenix, Mesa and Tucson are closing all restaurants and bars. Something about if the Governor won't do it, the mayors will. So far outlying smaller towns have retained their senses. Let's face it, if you can't buy food at any grocery store and you can't go to a restaurant, who's going to feed you? Knock, knock, "Mrs. Mayor, can we join you for dinner?"

Went to Brenda's Kitchen for breakfast yesterday. Normally crowded, there were only four people there. "Oh", says Brenda, "all our regulars are accounted for", as she spieled of a list of names and why they aren't there right now... That's small town living. Let's hope everyone from Phoenix doesn't realize that Brenda's is not in the city and therefore remains open, at least for now...

Good chance of rain today, not suppose to start for a few hours though. Temps in the low 60's for a few days, then back up.

Yeah, several stores in our area announced "senior hours", but only on Wednesday. Hey, that's today...............

Sun and 40.
Yep bars restaurants and casino's all closed. Carryout food only. Gas is cheap and nowhere to go. If you gonna travel Mi. plan on a lot of drive through meals. This will destroy the tourist trade if it last into summer. We went to Kroger this morning, no checkout lines but not much of the things we usually buy either. No TP to be found anywhere. Meat prices were jacked up as well. $8.99# for cube steak.

We have the same bunch of idjets here in southeast Ohio. I had to go to walmart for a prescription refill so thought I would go around Aldi, which is were we usually shop to get some milk, eggs and bread, I was figuring on getting some premade frozen beef patties too because they make a quick hamburg.  I got a loaf of bread, but there were only 3 left, I only got 2 gal. of milk and I usually get 4 but while they had plenty, I didn't want to seem like a hoarder. (It was $2.05 a gal. ) But there wasn't an egg in the place, nor was there any bacon or any other meat, and frankly I find Aldi a bit over priced on most of their meats. I didn' go down any other aisle, I just got into the shortest check out line which had 5 folks before me. TSC was out of the special dog food we need for our diabetic dog but we have several days supply left. There are 2 other stores in the area and I can check inventory on line.
We have a vet appointment this afternoon, then I will come home and work on my Aerotrain some more.

Have a good day every one.

Good afternoon folks

Currently 53. going up to 56.

This feels like the fourth Sunday we had this week. We do have to venture out at some point today. Need to pick up some of my wife's medication and a few items at the grocery store. I guess we will see what is open. Like other places restaurants and bars were ordered to close their dining areas and do take-out only. I have not been in a grocery store since Thursday so I wonder if they done any restocking.

Trimmed some bushes and picked up some loose trash in among the bushes that probably blew there from the winds the other day.

I continued to weather rolling stock. I have plenty of them to do.

I hope everybody has a good day.

up date from town trip . no paper products at Walmart or fry's  or the 99 cent store did find milk pet food isle was cleaned out  as were the bread canned veggie's , pasta and dry beans  . the rest of the stores had barely anything in abundance  in the food section . stopped at Greentree's and the shelves were bare there also of the 4 freezers there only one had anything left in it.  the world had gone mad . also rained off and on so far today  , we passed the yearly mark by almost an inch so far.
Our neighbours arrived back about 4 pm -- didn't ask them what took so long from the Detroit area. We think their daughter was stocking the house for them.

The other good bookstore in town is now closed. They'll deliver books though.

I may have to re-arrange my books downstairs into some sort of order. Unless I can find some sheets of cardboard to make buildings from; my supply seems to have disappeared.

Good morning all. Weird day yesterday, rain in the morning, cleared up most of the day, then hit hard around 4:00. Got almost another inch, giving us close to 2.5" for the past seven days. Suppose to have gotten 7-10" of snow up in the high country. Not a bad start for the year, like Jim's area, it's closing in our our yearly amount and we do like that snow pack come spring. Slight chance of rain today, than nothing until mid next week.

Went to Walmart, still dismal as far as staples, got a few things, then had to go back later because I forgot cheese, and by golly, they still had some. Egg, milk, anything paper (well I did get three small boxes of tissue), bottled water, soup, anything in cans... the list goes on. Had a few stores open at 5:00AM for seniors only. Didn't go, but the news showed a huge crowd waiting to get into one store. We seniors have to eat and stay clean too... One restaurant is giving away a roll of toilet paper with every delivery order. Wonder where they got all theirs....
