SIDE SHOT SATURDAY
When I first met 6213, she was "running" on prototype Snap Track. They were hauling her into the CNE.

Good Lord: I just looked it up and that must have been 60 years ago.

That's nice Ed. Do you happen to have a model of the 1551?
I've been in and around the 1551 and it is now at the age of steam roundhouse.

Hi Charlie---I only wish I had #1551.Whenever I ask Wayne to paint one of my models I usually try to find one of the prototypes that still exist so I choose 1533 which was on the New Hope and Ivy RR,later on the Ohio Central RR.Actually there were as many as 8 of the H6 class locomotives preserved including #1551---I believe Doctor Wayne also has one of these models---maybe we can convince him to number his locomotive as 1551.

Heritage units are the latest trend on many railroads so the Leetown Division has added their addition---here's "Golden Boy".This specially decorated CNR U2B Northern is a tribute to the manufacturers of the various locomotives on the CNR roster.

Hi Doc---3556 certainly doesn't need any cosmetic repairs---great picture of a good looking CNR locomotive.Just a thought but did you recently visit a friend in Cheapside ?

Yeah, I took his N-5-d, with the new paint job and all-wheel pick-ups back to him.  He was surprised to see it running without having the tender attached...which in-turn, surprised me, as I've done at least a half-dozen of his locos with the same feature.  I guess, though, that it would be normal practice to have the tender coupled to the locomotive, so he likely would never have known they would run without them.
I also returned his CO2 cylinder, as he's going to give airbrushing a try.  He had loaned it to me so that I wouldn't need to heat my compressor in the paint shop (out in the garage) during the winter.  However, the shop needs to be heated anyways, if any painting is to be done when the temperature drops.
He gave me a very nice all-metal kit, from Walker Model Services, for an old-time Kleiber tank truck.

The S-2-a is a repair job for someone else.
