Plugging along………

I have been set back some due to overly delayed packages.   I have one that left NJ 2 weeks ago and hasn’t made it to Chicago yet.
Another I paid extra for the 2 day deliver, that has been enroute for a week now with no ETA.

I was also distracted by another Martin video

I found 25 pounds of clay for $5 at Walmart and went to work with the coffee grinder.  I made a bunch of samples up with the sanded grout
colors I had on hand to look for just the right color for my basic ground cover.

The roof sub structure is up on the main Siskiyou mill building but I’m waiting to get more card stock to mock up the roof.  Still trying to figure the final
color of the roof for it.  If you look back at the earlier pics I posted the older ones have the roof black and the newer ones white.  For my time line I should
go with white but I like the look of the black. We’ll see what comes of it.

I broke out my Tichy window box and figured out what windows I'll be using ( one of the MIA packages)

I have been playing with outlines for the Arcata building.  I have it down to these two.  When I figure it out I'll make a full mock up.

Lastly, excavation for the Oro River has begun.

Originally the plan was to have this area 4” deep but I think I like the look as pictured.   I also think the bed for Placer Creek will get shallower too.

Trains have been running some but not enough.  I’ll have to do something about that!

I know what you mean by waiting for packages, as I have a couple that were shipped about a month ago , and are still "in transit".  Tracking shows that they've finally made it into Canada, but it's not specified where in Canada.

Well, you could always do a compromise using some shade of grey - many black roofs get lighter as they age, and white ones often darken over time, as the weather.

Yeah, the height of the river's banks is one thing, while the depth of the water is better-represented by the choice of colours used for it.
