There are many layout ideas here that reminded me of what you're working with and vice-versa.

Still chewing...working on a planning project keeps the mind distracted from the stresses of moving & packing!

I like the fourth one down on the right.
Some switching, and with the stub end tracks heading out, ease of expansion when space is available.

OK, I've just gotten back to this layout and am tinkering with it again. At the moment, I'm using the original 3x4 board and have two loops of track. The outer loop is made up of 18"R and 15"R curves while the inner loop has only 15"R curves, with two sidings. I'm going to continue to experiment with it and see what I come up with over the next few weeks. Rob
