Did you click the "auto log in" box when you first logged in?

Yep, and as a matter of fact I just had to sign on again to post this.

Hmmm that is very weird, maybe one of the mods or admins can crack this one lol

It could have something to do with your security settings. The fact that you are logged in is stored in what is known as a cookie. If your web browser is in some private browsing mode or if your security zone is set to not keep cookies, that information could get lost. Then you'd need to sign in again.
I prefer the Firefox web browser. But that's almost a personal preference nowadays. I've tested IE, and Safari as well.

Are you using
the-gauge.net
or
www.the-gauge.net
to access the site? (what's in the url bar right now in your browser?)
If the first domain with the www, I wonder if the cookie is set to use a non-www domain name?

The webserver will force the url to be www.the-gauge.net, but the "cookie domain" is set to the-gauge.net. So there shouldn't be any problems as far as that goes. I can only guess it's some sort of cookie blocking software in the browser.

I'd recommend trying the Firefox web browser. I prefer it to any other browser out there. Below is a download link..

Also if you install Firefox, I highly recommend the AdBlock Plus add-on. It will block all those pesky ads from many sites (not all of them, but most of them and especially the ones that make the popups and popunders).

That is what I'm using right now and all is working well.
