Fantastic progress. I like the new caboose tracks. I don't know how I missed it, but this is also the first I've seen of the roundhouse area. That small village up in the hills against the backdrop... is that a smaller scale for forced perspective? Oh, I also really liked the fire tower.

The village is mainly made from Company houses (by Laser Kits)cut in half from side to side and have open backs .
Thanks , Mike
I have been working on the problem end of the layout. I think I have found a way to almost completely cover the loop into the garage wall window.
Here is the latest progress.

Here is what I did today. I had to build the new end as it went off the old layout so had no end on the right.

Here is what I accomplished today. I was able to get the bridge painted, get this striping but on, and get the weathering done. I think it is complete now, I just need to get the roads in the city done.

Looks very nice! You did a great job on that ramp. The bridge looks great and can't wait to see how you build the town.
Thanks So Much Scott.
It is the BAD side of town!! Cheers
Mike
Cheers Cheers ...Nice job....So where did the "window" track end up..??

That's a clever name --"Shmelle Meat" packing plant... 357

What is that yellow building between the bridge and the tracks..?? I like the looks of it... Thumbsup

Well the window track is still there but that was the idea, to cover up the inlet and outlet of it and I guess it is working.
The building is a Northeastern Box Factory.

You N-scalers make things look mighty tempting. Last night as I was laying down for bed I was thinking about what I would choose if I was using N-Scale. One of these days, I am going to build a small N-scale layout. Of course, that is only when income permits Sad
Thanks Kevin, Nice layout you have there.
You are sort of already doing N Scale!!! 790_smiley_picking_a_fight

I briefly went back through your thread to try and find the answer to this but did not. Possibly it was in one of your videos...
Question - it looks as if you built the ends of that bridge from scratch... the middle section looks like the straight sections from Rix Products. Is it all built from scratch or did you find somebody that offered that as a kit? Either way, it's not a structure I recall seeing before.

TN it is a bent Rix center and both ends are scratched from balsa and styrene. The Rix bridge was all bent prior to assembly (by heat from rubbing with fingers).
Thanks , Mike
