You really subscribe to the "get 'er done" philosophy. If I was to contemplate a change like yours, I'd have to think about it for a few months before deciding... Nope
Things are coming along nicely. Is the area in your last two shots where the engine service facilities were..??
Look forward to more updates....(Sorry about you having to "shorten" your SF consist.... Sad ).

Thanks Gus , yep the turntable and engine house area but it is all still there and will stay. It just seemed the yard and that blonged together.
Thanks Gus , Mike
Today I got the Homasote in as well as the stringers tied to the L girders and cut off. I also got some track in place to make sure it will fit in.
I am thinking of oil storage tanks on one side or the other in the loop.

I finally got the facia back up on the new extension and yard. I also got the new Yard panel cut out and panel template made as well as the new main panel cut. I am waiting on square Evergreen to make the panel lines.
I use a pre connected cable to connect the panels to the layout.

Thanks Marc , We will see when I start to move it all.
Mike
Mike...I see you managed to "shoe horn" a king-sized Super Chief into that yard..!!
And your wiring is exemplary...To all newbies out there...THIS is the way to do it. Thumbsup
If you were to look under my layout, you'd tear your hair out. A rat's nest is neater than my wiring....
!!!! Eek Wow, that looks great!
Impressive. Love the building flats and backdrop, they blend in well. Also, the fascia is a work of art in itself! Thumbsup
Thank You All so much , it is you guys who keep me motivated!
Mike
Here is what I have been stuck doing besides Robin and I both having stomach flu .New control panel for the new yard and second reverse loop.

Nice control panel, and nice wiring. It is amazing - the wide variety of skills required to be a model railroader.

I this area , it helped to be in the telephone industry for 32 years. It is not the neatest work but it is accurate and traceable (if you know the telco color code)
Thanks , Mike
Hey Mike...While on the subject...Could you please give us a little "tour" of what all is on that panel, and what all the widgits do..?? Goldth
