TCWORLD Wrote:I am currently working on a layout with similar styles of scenery, and I was wondering if you could tell me how you made the hill in the back corner by the double crossover? Also, where did you get your backdrops from, could you send me them?
The mesa is carved from blue foam and the lower hills are plaster over wet , wadded up news paper.
Thanks , Mike
Wow Mike, I agree wholeheartedly with Gus in his praise of your blending of the backdrop to/with your scenery.
It looks very believable...I love it.

Thanks Gus , The trailer park will be at the other end of the layout and the Unobtainium mine will tentetivly be near where the mountain has stopped somewhwere.
Thanks , Mike
Here is the Las Cruces Depot I have been working on. It is a bone stock Walthers kit with a few small details added. It is not exactly our depot but really really close.
I stuccoed it using craft paints and Aluminum Oxide blasting media mixed together and painted over the brick structure.
The real thing !!

Great progress! (Anytime you want...you can come over to my house and start adding scenery to my layout. Icon_lol I'd like to be making progress like that.)

Really neat looking backdrop and mesa. My compliments. Cheers
Thanks Herc , It seems slow to me . It is a lot easier when you have most of the stuff built!! Cheers

Mike
