Well...it's almost Nscale. You can find these tanks at Target or will find them soon. This is a newly stocked item and is almost exactly NScale. I measured the tank at 31 scale feet, and the M1A1 is about 32 feet long. Close enough! They also had a Striker vehicle as well, and both are $3.99.
Gotta pic?

Anyway, way back when I was in N scale, I used Micro-Machines. All these came in a set and were painted white with some strange camo colors. I repainted them Dark Green. Though they look a little rough in the details, they were great on flatcars.
They were close to scale also. Though I think the Marine LACV, might be a little over scale.
I'm sorry I didn't give the manufacturer's name for these products. I've got to dig around for the box a bit...and when I do...I'll post it.

The tank looks great on a flat bed car, and with a little searching, I should be able to figure out a way to attach the tank to the car as "prototypically" as possible.

Adding the Striker vehicles would make for a nice flat car load as well. So hopefully tomorrow, I'll pick them up from Target too (assuming I can buy them up before some ten year old sees them. (Doesn't he understand, these are destined for a layout - not played with on the carpet then banished to the bottom of the toy box.)

So, if anyone needs to add any military hardware to their consists...head on down to Target and be looking for these little tanks and vehicles (as well as a few airplanes) individually packaged.
The vehicles are now (or will soon be at your local Target) in stock. They are part of the "Forces of Valor" series and are labeled "Macho Machines".

I bought two Stryker vehicles this morning. According to the length listed on the Army website, these are oversized by about six feet. I haven't worked out the math yet, but my guess is they're somewhere around 1:140 or so scale. Close enough to make a nice looking flat car load for me!
