Those that are into off road racing will know that Dakar 2008 was cancelled due to terrorism threats. Dakar 2009 will be run in South America. Has anybody been able to determine what channels will carry coverage for North America next year and when? The race starts January 3rd and finishes, I think, the 27th. It looks like Versus will have coverage but not till April. I'm hoping to find same day video coverage but it's not looking good.

Thanks. Yep, we just got back from the chaos of Christmas and new years travels and I found that... that versus was giving daily coverage. Hey, that's great. Unfortunately, I already missed the first 4. Oh well, usually they do a recap somewhere down the line and it's season passed on my TIVO. This is the one race of the year I live for!

On satellite, DirecTV, it's channel 603... used to be spd. Half hour highlights for the day are aired at 1:30, 4:30 and sometimes 6:30 MST.

Maybey they did. Perhaps that's why I couldn't find coverage... till now. I dunno.

I fanally checked out Versus and it is on 603 Direct TV and Speed is still on 607. I get it now and just saw highlights.
