foulrift's post in the ho forum made me think there are posts for buildings to model but what about buildings that have changed tenets here are a two to start, lets see what you can come up with.
Here's a photo I took myself. It's an old Big Four depot that is now a flower shop.

The town's old freight station. This was also used as a tire warehouse, beer distributor and now storage for a construction company.
Here in Finland as smaller passenger stations are being closed, the station buildings, often being in very good condition, are sold and used for residential and commercial use or even as museums.

Museum...

Small businesses...

(the above stations still exist, the building just has been taken from use)

Now someone's home...

Apparently in use by the local graffiti artists...

Jim-I have found that when I recycled or changed the way a building looked (making changes to the exterior)that it also changed how the building was used.In my case,(having a switching layout) when I recycled a building two things were likely to happen-the commodities received and shipped would change along with street traffic meaning that commodities shipped or received by truck would also change, meaning the types of freight cars and trucks may be different from what was done before.

We have a Leon's Furniture in the Toronto Roundhouse Building downtown.

Steam Whistle Brewery occupies a chunk of it too...

...and very soon The Toronto Heritage Railway Museum will open its doors there as well.

I have mixed feelings about the Leon's in there. However I supposed its better then it being razed to put up more condos. Nope
Hey, I've been there, and visited that brewery! Any idea when the museum will open? I'd like to visit again end of next summer, think it will be open?

No idea. I am anxious to find out myself. I haven't come across any official opening date. You can check out the web site here.

Very cool pics.
Van Briggle ruined that roundhouse. It's totally yuppified inside - only thing missing is a fern bar. 8-)
Powell, Ohio. Former depot that is now a city municipal building/cop shop.

I had forgotten about this thread. I'm wondering if this thread might make a good sticky for this forum. At this point the only sticky in the Upper Berth is the one for the Big Blue Store.
The old Sante Fe depot in Canon City is now the police department.

Odd Fellows and Rebekkah house, built as an orphanage complete with stables, an industry building and the works, now an assisted living facility.

There is a very nice old stone church in Castle Rock which is now a restaurant.
