I have been away from the forum for a while due to some family and personal issues that needed my attention.
Now that I have basically got them straightened out I can get back to railroading.
My layout is now to the point where I can start to operate it once I get a new power pack (my current one died-it was 30 years old). I still have some detail work to do and the track still needed some tinkering.
But I was thinking-had it not been for the many members on this forum that offered help,suggestions and helpful comments my layout may not be this far along. There are too many to mention and I would not want to leave anyone out so let me just say this-I deeply appreciate all the help that you guys have given me. You are a great bunch of guys and this is a great forum.

Glad to hear you've sorted your troubles out....Seems like it's a never ending battle for most of us...

That's what we're all here for...Scratch someone's back today, 'cuzz you'll be needing some scratching yourself sometime down the road....

How true. I get a kick out of helping people out. Yea-sometimes problems are never ending.Just have to find way to deal and move on.

That is great to hear! I credit this forum for keeping me motivated the past few years. But you need to keep up your end of the bargain - keep posting pics and updates of your layout!

Kevin-I agree and here are the latest shots of my layout.









I had a lot of fun building this layout and learned a lot along the way. It was frustrating at times but that was part of the learning process. It is still a work in process but I'm satisfied with the overall results. As soon as I get a new power pack I can start to process of developing an operating system.

Bob,As I mention before the majority of my friends are fellow modelers simply because I find modelers are indeed good folk and make good friends with a common interest.

Bob, one of the great things about "Big Blue", is that it is a place where we can learn from others, and at the same time, perhaps, teach others.
You may want to consider this.....we're a "great bunch of people", because you're part of the "bunch".

Brakie-Sumpter Your comments ring true. I have also discovered this about this forum. It makes no difference what a persons skill level is,we can all learn from each other. I know for myself,I tend to be a little pig headed and it takes time for me to realize that my way isn't always the best way.
