A single pic of my current Z scale scratchbuilding project.I will finish it when I can get the trucks for it. Ladders and trucks will be the only readymade parts.I plan to make 8 of these then start on a fleet of coal gons.
How hard is it to build something in such a small scale?
Looks great!
Can you add a picture that includes something for scale reference (maybe a quarter or a pencil or something)?
Thanks.
Andrew
When I read the title, I thought "scratchbuilt Z scale??? I gotta see this!"
And now I am saying WOW! Fantastic job on such a tiny thing. Great work, thank you for sharing. Makes me want to scratchbuikld something in HO
That’s absolutely fantastic
. Makes HO scale scratch building look like it is something for newbies
. How long did you work on it to get this far?
Well,...........so much for "that rule", the one about "larger scales as we get older".
Nice bit of work there Catt!!!

Gary, I was not talking about your remark.
That is how I feel about
my scratch building when i look at this little piece of art
.
Since you plan on making more than one, wouldn't it be worth your time to make a master for molds & castings?
Incredible work, btw.
