Well, I got going on the new foundry I was kinda' at a loss on how to build, but after a few hesitant steps (ended up using 5-min. epoxy and CA for this), I got the hang of it, and here's where it's at so far.....

Started by adding a bunch of angular "gluing" tabs to the sides and fronts....

Then started to assemble the 4 walls...

Helps to have a nice bunch of tools to help get the job done...

Hope you don't mind the mess on the work bench....
I am now working on finishing assembly of all four walls and preparing the roof sheeting, hopefully will have most of the assembly done tomorrow...Heading out to WallyWorld to get me some gray primer. Will post pics later...
Good Gus!.........It will be nice to watch you work Popcornbeer Wink

What kit is that?....it looks interesting Thumbsup
The mess on your work bench????? You are joking, right???????????? Misngth Misngth Misngth It is almost sterile ... you should see mine Icon_lol .

Looks like this is going to be an interesting structure!
Kurt is right......That is what my workbench looks like AFTER I clean it up Goldth Goldth Goldth
Gus I'm sure this is going to be a very interesting building, with the metal will it be run down and rusty? Keep in mind if needed you can also use 1/8" sq for bracing.
I never trust a guy with a clean workbench or desk. 24
The kit looks nice, can't wait till it's finished
Thanks for the comments and pointers,,,,

The building will be rusted and blackened, as befits any foundry worth its salt....

I spent the day yesterday painting, and getting the smoke stacks to fit. Will post pictures later....
Does Bush's Baked Beans really count as a 'modeling tool'? Don't get me wrong, I love 'em. Maybe you're using the can as a weight, yeah, that's it, right?

Nice work. Looking forward to more!

Galen
have built many of the old Sudam kits through the years the firts ones i used a 3lb iron the last i used a restance tool , they make a nice structure i do tend to rust mine up a bit before i assemble though. as for your work bench at least you can see the top i'm not too shure mine has one Icon_lol
