Hobby cash, which was promtly partially changed into a NOS blue box Athearn GE U28-b for the future HO layout my buddy and I are going to be rebuilding from an old NTRAK layout.

OK......You started the thread...What'd you get?

Here's the only railroad related Xmas present I got. Its a huge book, (Not too big for the white porcelain reading room though), with over 400 pages covering locos from all over the world.Very infomative book.
O. Winston Link B&W photo calendar with N&W photos, a Classic Trains B&W photo calendar, Steel Rails & Iron Men by Barrie Sanford (history of the Kettle Valley Railway), magazines on photography and train modelling, and other assorted gifts. All in all, a very happy Christmas because we had our three girls and their male friends for Christmas Day.

Seriously though, lots of time with good friends, some partying, and my "early" Christmas gift from my daughters, a ticket to the "Star Wars In Concert" performance at the United Center, in Chicago.
There was also time to recall and total up all the blessings of the past year, and bask in the warm glow of the bounty found there. The year was not wasted.
My two little ones gave me two Blair Line "Jesus Saves" billboards---not a mistake, they knew daddy wanted one for each of his layouts Thumbsup

Glad I was here for my brother-in-law...this is what is sold for NIB at Trains by Johnson...

...it has a DCC chip installed (fine if that's what you have and it was a pro install), the headlight post removed, motor poorly remounted, badly installed handrails...just a real punk deal that Uncle Shaygetz worked into the wee hours to fix. The nephew is stoked though, so it worked out.
I got hobby cash, but I'll have to get pics of what I bought and post'em later
I, too, got some hobby cash and I already spent it on some LPBs, 2 vehicles, an Athearn tuck with a container trailer and a Walthers tank car. I am still waiting for the package to arrive ...

OK I got a watch, a tie clip, cologne, a $50 gift certificate. No train stuff.
I get way more out of giving to my nieces and step daughter. I got the kiddo a pair of FUGLY suede boots she wanted (i think they're hideous, but she loves them!), a Nintendo Wii remote charger system (if your loved ones have a Wii, that is the best $20 you'll EVER spend!), and some Pajamas she was wanting. I got my oldest sister and her family a Wii and my shoulder is STILL sore from trying to outbowl the 4 year old (she even talks smack and can bowl a 232 to back it up!), and other assorted presents that everyone is happy about. I got Alicia a couple of Thomas Kinkade Disney paintings since she loves his work and is a Disney Nut, got some nice frames for them too, but as far as trains go, I got my brother one of the brand new Intermountain FP-7A's in Western Pacific (#805-A) since we work on the real one at the WP Museum and he was STOKED. He got me a set of 24 railfan DVD's, one of which is on the UP #3985 and I enjoyed it a lot, haven't checked out the other disks yet, been too busy. Other than a couple of DVD's from Alicia's mom (one on a fancy Indian Pullman Palace train and one on steam engines) Alicia got me a couple nice shirts and I got some movie DVD's incluing a couple of my favorites "Better off Dead" (features my dream car a black 1968 Camaro RS that i fell in love with and watch that part of the movie over and over again) and "Three Amigo's" and a hand made Old West Black Bib shirt since my main "Bad Guy shirt" seems to somehow shrunk lately from my best friend. My sis and her husband got me a VERY nice S.U.G. watch, that chris picked up in Dubai. All in all, I had a great Christmas with both mine and Alicia's families. I'm looking forward to next year's Holidays (although my credit card isn't!)
Gee.....what I got for christmas????? Well I got a Playstation 2 ( didn't want a playstation 3 ), Civil War - Secret Missions, a few other games for it. Gift card for wally world. A new digital camera. But the best present of all was spending time with my fiance and little girl. That beats all the presents I got. Didn't get no train items this year.
Only one train item, (I'll have to photo and post later,) and a rather large box of VHS tapes, mostly John Wayne movies. Time with my wife, and a pre-Christmas phone call from my step-daughter, Jill, were the best of all!!
I got free reign on the MasterCard for building supplies Smile . I'm not looking forward to seeing the next billing statement Confusedhock: .
