Train show last weekend... ran across the following and was wondering if anyone has seen one before and could possibly help with identifying the manufacturer. I did buy the car for $3, but didn't take a photo of it to post here. On the bottom of the car, there is "YUGO" and "Tempo" molded in the plastic. The car is similar to an Athearn tank car, except the tank is a larger diameter.

I found a website with a photo that says it is an AHM Rivarossi 40' tank car "5627E" - however, the website has the same exact ID on another tank car which looks quite different than this one. The photo is linked from the website: http://www.20thcenturyhobbies.com/train ... ayout3.htm

Anyone have any or seen this model before?

Looks like it is an AHM chemical tank car. I would like to get a few more. Anyone have any leads?
wait for the next swap meet in your area. I usually see tables of ahm and older 1960s-1970s stuff. I think people try to unload their old trainset/toy store quality rolling stock in favor of the more detailed modern releases. Unfortunately, many sellers try to pass this off as "vintage" and charge more than it is worth. I would suggest browsing the train show early to see if you can find someone selling what you are looking for, show interest in the stuff, but act undecided. Then come back towards the end of the show (it is unlikely someone else will buy it), and usually you can make a deal and pick up older rolling stock for a buck or two per piece. The seller is desperate and would rather get rid of it than load it back into their car.
