Hi,

Just came across this forum pretty much by accident and figured I would check it out. You can never get too much info on model railroading. I've been a model railroader as long as I can remember. Just started a new HO layout a little more than a year ago. It's set in the fictional Knox Valley area of northern Maine in the late 50's and 60's. Pictures available at my website - http://www.mainetrains.webs.com/ - I try to keep it current but that doesn't always work out.
I'll be looking forward to learning more about this forum as time goes on.

Welcome Dave,
I am Charlie, a recently retired operator of a short line railroad, and about to start building my 10th ho scale in a soon to be new building.
Be sure to check out all the modelers here as they are all the best of the best (myself not included)

Welcome to the forum, Dave!! Thanks for sharing your photos. I like the cabin scenes, very nice. I look forward to your participation here at The Gauge.
Hi Dave, Welcome Aboard!!!

Glad you found us... Nice scenery and details on the layout and I'll agree - i like the Bosses Smile

I have 3 "foreman" here myself.. I run G scale and it's really funny when one is uhh inspecting the inside of a tunnel and I turn on the layout power and he SHOOTS out of the tunnel where he was taking a nap Smile Smile Smile

Anyway, look around, there are a great bunch of modelers here and we love answering questions... Smile Smile
Dave,
Welcome to The-Gauge..... "Big Blue".
I think you'll find this place comfortable, and friendly.
I was stationed at NAS Brunswick, Me., for two tours, late 60's and mid 70's.
My Grandfather lived in South Harpswell. The coast of Maine is my "favorite place", Illinois has been my home for the last 17 years.
Cindys Harbor ( of Sagaponack Montauk & Cindys Harbor ), is just a bit down east from Saturday Cove, and the shipyard recently purchased the 30" gauge Wiscasset, Bucksport & Schoodic point RR.
Looking forward to seeing more of "Knox Valley". The thought of a "week at the cabins", is tempting.
Pete
Welcome Aboard Dave!
that is a great looking layout! Welcome aboard. Welcome train
Hello Dave. Welcome to Big Blue. They call me Running Bear when they're not mad at me. I'm into HO as well and have a layout that's about 8x10. If you need help don't hesitate to call. This is a great bunch of guys here.
Hi Dave --

Welcome to Big Blue - I've seen some of your posts over on the Kalmbach forums as well.

Those Collard's Creek cabins made me dream about summer on a lake in Minnesota again, instead of all this snow around here :-)
