Great job on that trestle and overall a very nice scene Thumbsup .
Fan-tastic work!! and workmanship!! Looks very realistic! I had to get my nose practically up against my moniter, to be certain it wasn't a prototype!! Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup
That's a VERRRYYYY good looking trestle.....I see one in my layout's future.....What is that Black Bear jig you mentioned..??
Keep up the excellent work and keep us posted..... Thumbsup
Thanks for all the kind words...

The next step is cast some rocks and place a small waterfall beyond the trestle... I am planning on scratch building (oh boy) a covered bridge to span across the creek, and finally beyond the bridge, a curved trestle... one step at a time though...

Steamtrains: The Black Bear jig made building the trestle a piece of cake... check out http://www.blackbearcc.com... I have never built anything like it before, so even for a rookie, it made it quite easy! They sell the jigs, wood, stains, etc. to make great looking bridges and trestles and the owner was very responsive with my questions before I ordered.

Stay warm,
