Hi guys,

Ive been working on a new project for the past few months in my spare time. I got 5 of the Kibri Hotel Under Construction kits and have been slowly working on them bashing them together. Ill ultimately end up with 2 large tall towers, one a 14 story structure and the other a 10 story structure. Both towers will be connected by a walkway/bridge on the 7th floor of each structure.

Im currently working on the first tower still, on the 10th floor right now. I also got a large mobile crane (Kibri kit) and have built it as well. The crane is a monster and will be used on the job site. I will also be getting a tower crane for the job site as well as a couple concrete pumpers. Everything is still in the works as far as the layout of the structures and the whole scene will look, and i dont have a home for the scene yet either. Im thinking about doing another module (2'x8') and having this scene on one end and a large industrial building on the other end. An elevated single track running along the back of the module to get some train action in there and I think it would be another great module to showcase the construction, trucks, and trains similar to my photo diorama i did a while back.

I dont have any pics as of right now, but ill try and take some tonight with the crane and first tower im working on now. Anyways, just wanted to give ya'll something to read since I havnt been on in quite some time. Ill hopefully be able to work consistently on this new project and keep regular updates coming. The building of the structures is repetitive, so im really looking forward to getting them on a module to start building the scenery and construction site.

Stay Tuned Misngth
Josh, it seems you are never at a loss for coming up with great ideas for new modules. And, it is good to see you back. Now, what I am waiting for is the day when all of your ideas can be incorporated into a giant layout!

This one shows the 7th floor where the connecting walkway will be built to connect the 2 towers

Base of the monster crane
WOW! What's it cost per hour to rent a crane like that? Big Grin
Looks like a half-completed condo building a few streets from my house. It has been a half completed concrete slab for so long, that I was almost glad the taggers finally came and painted it Icon_lol
Whow. that is a tall building!

Just remember not to consider calling the 13th floor an actual floor, it's unlucky Eek
Great module idea.. can't wait to see the whole project finished
Josh, that is a great idea! I love urban scenes and a construction site like that is something you don’t see modeled very often. This will be interesting to watch Thumbsup .
Very nice, and that crane is a monster! How tall is it?
Thats an impressive crane. how much does a model like that set you back?

That is some expensive Hi-Rise development you got going there Josh, and I love the concept of some action happening, it makes for an interesting display and the sheer size of the crane and the buildings will be a talking point on any layout.
