I grew up in California, but my wife was born in Brooklyn, grew up on Long Island and had never been west of Chicago until we were married. When we then moved to So Cal, we would drive around here and she was constantly amazed for the first couple of years because she would see scenery or buildings that she recognized, but she knew that she had never seen them before! I took a while for it to sink in that she was seeing scenes that she had seen on various tv shows or movies!
