Would one of our quality guys please post a tutorial on painting backdrops. Lynn had a great thread, but he hasn't been on since April, and most of the links to his pictures are dead.
We need something in the academy, and I'm just not good enough to take this on, I really need help.

What type of scenery would you require on this backdrop, Charlie? City, country, mountains, plains, all of the above?

Remember, the backdrop is just that, a "visual" in the background, most often taken in peripherally, as "visual support" for what is goin on in front of it. You are not painting a representative protrait of George Washington, you are creating a backdrop for a model railroad. If you don't like it, you can spread a clean, fresh coat of white and start over again!

There is a short tutorial (of sorts) at the Model Railroader Magazine web site. It is a step in the right direction. But you are right ... a tutorial here on Big Blue's own Academy would be a valuable addition to the curriculum!
