Hey guys. I'm posting the official progress thread for my model of the South Hill & Eastern Foothills Railroad, a freelanced modern-era shortline running from a CSXT connection in South Hill, Virginia to a deep mine in the eastern foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
The main portion of the layout with the only town other than South Hill, is going to be a 4x8' piece, and the South Hill portion will be 2x8'.
The 4x8' Is based on the Madison Central layout, with a couple extra tracks.
Many of you are probably wondering, "what happened to the N scale?"
I was working on making the pieces that will sit in the corners of each module to hold the legs, when my friend Chris asked me what I was doing. I told him I was working on an N scale modular layout of the Mt. Union Connecting RR. He said he wanted to help, I said okay, and we sorta picked everything up and took it to his house.
He has instructions not to work on it unless I'm there too, and it is currently sitting there in several cardboard boxes packed with stuff to build it, and some crappy lumber that I'm supposed to build the modules out of.
Come along and enjoy the construction of the South Hill & Eastern Foothills Railroad!
