Hi all,

currently I'm trying to fill in the blanks on my research into the California Northern RR. I'm looking for the location/address of their locomotive maintenance/repair shop. The intention is to try and find it in google earth, and see if it's a nice subject to model for my layout. Anyone who has any info on that, I'd gladly hear/read about it :-)

PS: Someone suggested it is located in American Junction, CA. I had a look in Google Earth, and found one of their GP15-1 with their passenger car at approx : lat=38.1855612576, lon=-122.251358009 . Can anyone confirm this is the locomotive shop area?

I'm now pretty certain this is the right location. Anyone on here live near/in American Junction CA, or knows someone there? I'd love to get some pictures of this facility, the more up close and personal, the better.
I want to get a good feel of the overall dimensions of the building, the location of any doors and windows, and the correct colors etc.

Anyone on here that works for, or has worked / knows someone, working for CFNR/ Rail America?
