Been a while. Layout is still active though. Taking it on the road today to entertain my young nephews with after supper.
Finally got the rails re-worked on the bumper and it's all glued down now. Happy holidays all.
Looks great!!
Have a great Thanksgiving!! and I hope your nephew has a good time.
I like how you did the bumper,,, I may have to barrow the idea for my layout.
Decided to connect both current layouts. Makes for a more interesting ISL.
Did some track re-alignment on the brewer yard end.
Re; the track re-alignment. Was this done before or after joining the brewers for a sampling of some brewskis?

Well, I probably got the idea and nerve from some liquid encouragement, but saved the cutting for later.
"Brewer Yard" was my first attempt at an ISL, based on a timesaver plan, which wasn't looking very realistic after it got running so I took out some switches, and reasoned that it would represent a prototype re-alignment. But the resulting S turn, didn't look right either, even when running shorter cars and locos. Since I have a good bit of time invested in this rig, especially on the retaining wall, I plan to squeeze as much life out of it as possible. Plus I've been encouraged greatly by our brother Reinhard, and his never ending Freelance saga.
Here's a before shot for comparison.
below grade switch machine installation:
Module connection joint. Rails will get soldered to the brass screws and then cut at the seam.
Regular Operations have commenced.
Good to see you are still at it!
Moving house does tend to knock the stuffing out of one's enthusiasm for things.
