Let's see them snow covered trains.

Good Luck!
Well, nothing current, since I haven't been out railfanning in a dogs' age... but some of my faves from years gone by:

My wife and I went snowshoeing on a local lake today and on the way back were stopped at the crossing by the junction of CN's Wisconsin Central Division and The Minnesota Commercial RR. There is a diamond and a wye here, and lots of action when long strings of cars are set out or picked up from the small yard. I waited quite a while hoping to catch the head end which would be Alco power in MN Commercial red...but it took forever! So, I took these shots instead. Plenty of snow here in New Brighton!

Wasn't one of the contest rules that it had to be your own photo?
Uh ... sorry ... I got carried away because I was granted permission to post a cool photo!

I totally forgot that this was a contest! :?

If you will all forgive me, I'll withdraw my link to photobucket and go home. Icon_lol

Sorry ... my bad!
Charlie - those early amtrak photos are great! I'm enjoying what I see here. Unfortunately, I don't have any train/snow photos. But to you all who live in snow country, you may think I am the fortunate one Smile
No sweat bil, post it on the weekly photo fun thread! Thumbsup

Taken on our trip last year. As I've said, we had to drive for 4 days from Ontario to find snow in Arizona.
