So I decided to do two repaints, to make them apart of the later era of Conrail. One of the reasons is that I put the wrong decals on a C40-8 (Dash 8) 35 They were for a C40-W (Widecab) :o

This photos shows the decaled C40-8 I did wrong, the top loco is it, the middle is the C40-8(W), the bottom is the way it's suppose to be

So I got to work stripping the C40-8 and a GP40-2, I decided to change the road numbers too since it's easier to find prototype photos, the 'Quality' scheme is never located in the same place.

So I started on the C40-8, I used Polly Scale Conrail Blue, which is ODD since it's the only bottle of Polly Scale Blue that was the same shade of color as the Floquil Conrail Blue Nope Polly is suppose to be more of a lighter blue like they added gray.

Since then I already typed this in the beginning of the week but lost it due to a login time out Wallbang Wallbang Wallbang I completed the paint and details on the C40-8

Almost finished with one, still have to add the light lenses and couplers on 219

Next up is the GP40-2, I already got the GP40-2 shell stripped, painted, and decals added

But that will be later Popcornbeer
Sharp lookin' blue. Nice job! Thumbsup
Looks great Tom! Interestingly, CR 6450, an SD40-2, had the huge GE CW40-8 style graphics on her long hood. The only unit I have ever seen with such a huge logo, except the CW40-8s of course.

Dave
Thanks Guys!

Dave, never knew that about 6450 Icon_lol
