I have a minimum radius of 14 inches in N scale and I want to get an Athearn 4-6-6-4 Challenger. I don't see any issues with the locomotive navigating my layout, but what about the tender? It looks like the wheel configuration on the tender makes it tough for that radius. Anyone have any idea if that tender limits the minimum radius of the loco?

Thanks.
The tender of my Athearn Big Boy seems to navigate tight curves like yours ok. It can even scrape round tighter curves, but the overhang of the loco knocks off stock on the adjacent tracks. Eek Tongue

Looking at the Big boy tender, I should be okay then. Depending on the tax return and a pending bonus at work, I'm hoping to get one. I had an Athearn 6 axle diesel once and wasn't thrilled with it. Seems like I can only find steamers that I like in Bachmann Spectrum and Athearn. Anyone have a preference?
