Well after 6 months in the new house it was time to make a mess

Here is the start, Tried to use a little of the last layout.

From here it heads through the wall and returns 10 feet down the wall. That section is now standing as well.

Today should bring some backdrops and maybe some foam

Always nice to watch a layout come together.

Any progress?

Well i have moved all the masonite for the backdrop into the house. Other than that, all i have done is work on the track plan.

If you need any suggestions on the track plan don't be shy to ask.

Well here is a rough plan(ok REALLY rough) with the basic dimensions. This is N Scale and mainly a coal hauling road.

Its great to see a blank canvas filling up with ideas and a solid construction.
New is always exciting, for both you and us.
And that track plan is a good size for N scale, you should be so lucky. Keep us posted on your progress.

Well I actually got motivated and cut the masonite and went to work

Here is the start of rough positioning.



Then we started mounting



And so we went on




The foam is just scraps i had left over from the last 2 layouts. New foam is on this weeks plan for Saturday.

And then i started to roughly layout the track in this area to see if it would actually work, not just on paper.



At the right is where the track will head through the wall onto a 10' section and eventually return to the main room.



This area will have a siding and an industry spur about halfway back in the train
