I have been wanting some more gondolas for the Z scale layout, but they are a little out of my price range. So I decided to see how much trouble it would be to scratchbuild some.I have about two full hours into this project with maybe another hour to go.

All the car needs are ladders/stirrups,brake wheel, paint and decals. Will most likely do the ladders/stirrups ,and brake wheel after the trainshow tomorrow.

If anybody is curious, the couplers are body mounted.

Depends on the prototype Ralph, this one is 3.5" long.My shortest one which is a rebuilt 35' flatcar is 2" long. The plan is two more 65's ,maybe two 50's to go with the one I already have from MTL.The 50's are about 2.75" long.
Ya know, I usually brag about how, at my age, I can still work in N scale without difficulty. Icon_lol But maaaaannnn, you are something else when it comes to this. I am totally blown away my friend, great job at any scale, but for z, fantastic... Thumbsup Thumbsup
Obviously, the cat in your avatar watched you build that Zscale car and now just look at the poor thing... Icon_lol
