Hi All; Matt, I've just bought a Bachmann Spectrum Consolidation. Your work here was truly inspiring.......so much so, in fact that I just reread the whole thread. I don't have the skills or the steady hands required to do what you've done, but I will try to alter the tender somewhat, thanks to you.
I would love to see a picture of the painted, finished engine and tender sometime. I hope all is well with you as you proceed with your layout.

I'm happy to see you finally decided to tackle this project! The model itself is a good start and you can "canadianize" according to your skill level. I went a little bit overboard with mine, but often, only a few features need to be reworked to get the right feeling.
After a few months hiatus, I feel like reworking again on my little trains...
