All photo's below were taken in Altoona, Pa on 4/12/2012

Some photo's of the Local that runs on the Cove Secondary. The first unit you see is a MP15DC which is a former Southern unit. You can see in the one photo the NS patch over the SOU.

Here we see SD40-2 #3352. This locomotive hasn't seen it's home rails here on the Pittsburgh Division since being replaced by the SD40E's in the helper pool.

Got a shock the other day when I seen this HERZOG Train. I couldn't figure out what it as then I seen the machine that picks up old ties from along side the tracks and it also lays down the new ties.

What I found neat about it is there is my initials on the lead locomotive MPM lol. I have a ton more pictures from the past 2 weeks that I will be posting soon. Again there is a mix of power from Dash 9's, GP38-2's, SD60's, SD70's, and very rare to be seen running a lone SD40-2 high hood.
Here is a very very rare locmotive to be seen around here: GP60 Eek

While I was at Carney's Crossing today I saw the most famous SD40-2 that ran the Pittsburgh Division, It was SD40-2 #3347. For those of you who don't know 3347 was the last SD40-2 to still wear the Conrail Blue up until she was repainted black in 2010. This engine became very famous with the railfans and now you barely hear anything on 3347. Today you don't see SD40-2's as headend or rear power as they were replaced by the SD40E. The only time you will get to see these beautiful engines is in a consist now. Below is the picture I had gotten of her today.

FCIN Wrote:Caught the EMD SD70ACe demonstrator 2012 on northbound NS train 114 this afternoon (2012-01-09) and managed to snag this rather poorly lite shot of it as it passed me at 50mph.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]Guess you folks along the NS north and perhaps east of Kentucky should keep your eyes peeled for this one.

Shes burning "warranty due" hours right now for the slow release at EMD, so she'll be around for just awhile.
Hi thoroughbreed and Welcome to Big Blue.

This Heritage unit made an appearance Tuesday evening through East Palestine. Really backlit, but I couldn't move the spotlight. Goldth[attachment=11912][attachment=11912][attachment=11911]
These are taken from a video, the light was so bad I figured a shaky video with sound would be better. Just a preview of this week end.
