My question is, is it possible to remove the APA door decals off of the athearn model and transfer them to the mack resin models? If not does anyone know where i could find APA decals??
I purchased A-P-A decals from Pen-Bay Custom Decals P O Box 520, Winterport, ME 04496, but don't believe they are still in business. Who makes the Mack MC cab?

I did a search of penn-bay decals and didn't find anything, I don't suppose you have a couple extra you could send my way, id be willing to throw down some money for them. I found 2 mack mc cabs on ebay, go to the ho scale section and type in mack, they show up every once in awhile. The seller name is mad-humungus, he makes other cab resins as well. Ill post some pics when I get the mack cabs mounted.

Maybe - if they are in fact decals and haven't been overcoated with anything. Many models like this are now stamp printed with paint or opaque inks, so would not be removable in the sense you mean.

Moving a little slowly but this is what i have so far. Ive been having some trouble tracking down the athearn a-p-a tractor trailer so all i have is the box truck. just have to pick up some red paint and print out the decals (thanks to Bruce), ill get there eventually.

I was able to find the Ford C tractor trailer so here it is with the Ford cab removed and the Mack cab in place.

Still have to pick up paint though..
Any update on the Mack build?

I just have the cabs painted red, i dont have an ink jet printer so i can't print the decals you sent me. and the only decal sheets i have are clear so when i order white ones ill print them out when i go to my parents house, they have an ink jet printer.
After 6 months I finally worked on the Mack trucks. Since i picked up the Athearn Mack R A-P-A truck I wont be doing the Mack MC/MR tractor in A-P-A markings. I still just need to print out the decals for the box truck. The extra parts I used on the box truck were alloy forms mirrors and bulldog ornament, and Ralph Ratcliffe models bumper. I made the windshield for both cabs out of the clear plastic sheets used for overhead projectors. I also switched the wheels on both trucks. I tried sanding down the ribbed sides on the box truck to make it smooth but you can still see some of the indents.

The mirrors are from the Ford cab, Ralph Ratcliffe models bumper, Alloy Forms bulldog ornament, air horn, exhaust and air intake, and 1/4 fenders (without them the truck was front heavy and the rear wheels stayed up in the air)
