Here's the beautiful Illinois Terminal unit 1072:
http://www.railpictures.net/photo/401776 Word is that the last 6 EMD's are to be pulled from Progress Rail in Muncie some time tomorrow 6-27-2012 and taken south on a special train. Hopefully, it will pass through here during daylight and I can catch them, front coupled or not.
6/27/2012 **** UPDATE **** UPDATE **** 6/27/2012
Here's some info I just received from a friend in Indiana. All six of the EMD Heritage units, including the DLW to be unveiled this morning, are to be pulled from Progress Rail some time this afternoon (12:00-15:00 hrs is the current plan). They will depart Muncie, IN, later on train 964 to Cincinnati, OH then on to Harriman Junction, TN then east to Knoxville and on to Linville, NC. Not much chance of me seeing them in daylight unless they are delayed leaving Muncie or held up in Cincinnati until the wee hours of the morning, but perhaps some folks on here that live along the route can catch them in daylight. Of course, like everything on the railroad, things are subject to change from minute to minute/hour to hour.
And a video:

I heard somewhere that one of the NS Heritage units would be a Monon unit? 'Anyone else heard that?
