"I am on the main line Pittsburgh to Chicago via Cleveland so we have it routed through here quite often. Some times I have a tip, and sometimes we are lucky. I think it has been by twice while Ed (cn nutbar)and Wayne were visiting and we didn't know it was coming. A nice surprise when that happened.

It is a beautiful train. I had the opportunity to ride it when it was Conrail. We were seated in the theater car. It isn't the most comfortable seat you can have, but the view from the rear is outstanding."

That has to be one of the busiest corridors in the U.S.

I'm lucky to see A train every now and then...And that from a considerable distance... Curse

I've already seen No. 8025, it's the only one I've seen twice, but I now I have a photo to prove it:

These were taken today by Todd (CSIGUY 1970) and he couldn't post for some reason so he asked he to do it for him.
They were taken at Salina, Pa[attachment=15420][attachment=15419]
Signing for Todd....
Great Pictures - Love the scenery too!!!
Thank You N Gauger. I took that off a bridge where an old brick yard used to be on the Conemaugh Line.
Here's the Interstate unit NS 8105 on train 22A at Waddy, KY today:[attachment=15593]

It shows off the repair work that was done to the steps, hand rail, and pilot after the "near miss" with the remote controlled unit at the Allentown yard.
Looks like it never happened. The only problem is, if you go by the CNJ numbering method, the 1071 is a 1,000 HP unit Nope Nope Nope .

NS 1069 on coal train NS 507 at Carneys Point, NJ December 13. The railroad crew from the Co Gen plant placed a string of bad order cars on the front track preventing full side views of the engine.

No. 1069 has been running around with Union Pacific No. 1982 for about a week now. It's the first documented pairing of NS and UP heritage units.
Saw this one at Enon Valley, Pa today.[attachment=16273][attachment=16274]

Great catch charlie. The other day there was 3 or 4 heritage units that came threw my town. Sadly I didn't have my camera though.
