Is that the unit that returned them home after Spencer? That is a great picture to show how close they are when coupled. I knew it was close but wow.

That was one of the last shots I took of the trio as they were leaving for North Carolina. They had to be that close in order to get into the nose door of the F from another locomotive. Good thing the door opens inward. I wonder what they would look like if EMD put a traditional pilot on the front of the covered wagons.

How cold was it today? Almost too cold, but I did manage to catch NS 956 heading east with a matched consist of F units at Enon Valley.[attachment=19425]
