Cheers Cheers Cheers
It keeps getting better... and there is another, what, 10 units to go? Thank you NS!
Well guys from the looks of it, she is in the spot where 11A picks up the heritage units. We all here on the west slope are hoping they have alot of work to do so she can be caught in the daylight.
Meet Norfolk Southern.

Little surprised that this hasn't been mentioned, but NS is planning on displaying all 20 of the Heritage Units in Spencer, NC on July 3rd and 4th http://www.easternrailroadnews.com/2012/...t-in-july/. Too far to go for me and since they are starting to show up on the CNOTP now, I'll just take my chances of getting shots of them locally. The NKP unit - 8100 passed south through Danville, KY, about 830PM Sunday night on mixed freight 179.
As someone who lives sort of near Spencer, allow me to encourage all who can make the trip to try hard to attend this event. The museum is a great place to visit, and there might be no more important event ever than this engine gathering at the round house. There's always something going on at the NCTM, but something like this just doesn't happen everyday. There's also a terrific train store right across the street with tons of O, HO, N and Z stock and supplies. The store's name is "The Little Choo Choo Shop" and it's a great resource for train supplies...well staffed and well stocked.

(No doubt, I'll be working over those days and won't be able to attend...and will hope to see the great pictures others take during the event.)
Hey guys just to let you know the New York Central unit is completed and painted.
