I did place an order at Trainworld yesterday but did not get an email with the DHL tracking number. I did ask them to cancel my order if they did not ship on Friday because Tuesday will be to late for me. Last chance to ship and mail tracking info would be today.
Trainworld did not respond so far.
Might be they are closed on labor day weekend on Saturday (and Monday of course)?

It's going to depend on how you told them to ship it. This is a holiday weekend, and unless you ordered them to ship "next day" and with "weekend or holiday delivery", there's no way you'll be seeing it before Tuesday anyway. I'm not even sure that DHL does that, I know that the USPS does it for a good price.

Thank you. But I mend it would be to late to ship on Tuesday because Monday is a holiday but what is about today? Is the Saturday of the labor day weekend usually a holiday too and it is not likely they will ship today? That would also explain why they are not answering my email. The shop is closed today!?

If they shipped yesterday but did not email the DHL tracking info I better stay home Monday to get the parcel and pay the import fee. Otherwise I have to contact them Tuesday and ensure the order is cancelled but stayed home just for fun.

I misunderstood, I thought you were saying that you needed the order by Monday since Tuesday would be too late for you to use it. That being said, I don't know anyone in the US that ships orders over a weekend, holiday or not. The probability is that if you don't have a tracking number by now, it won't ship until Tuesday. But hey, stranger things have happened....
Trainworld uses DHL express on request. They do it within 48 hours for only a little more than USPS. If they shipped on Friday it should be at my doorstep on Monday. But I need to know the tracking number to be sure I have to be home to pay 19% import tax (the equivalent to VAT) get it. The other risk is German customs at Leipzig airport. They put it sometimes on hold and I have to supply a proof of price via email. But they will not contact me but simply put it on hold. I have to see it online and contact the DHL office at Leipzig airport to make arrangements.
If Trainworld ships on Tuesday it could be here on Thursday at best case. Friday is the last day we are home. So I have only one day to solve any potential problem or the parcel will be put on hold one week due to failed delivery (no body home to pay tax) and send back to Trainworld. That is to risky and I will ask Trainworld not to ship on Tuesday but to cancel or delay shipping until 10/8 my order.
That is what I wrote them and hoped they would read it today and send an answer... false assumption.
They told me on Friday at lunch time to ship it and send the tracking info at end of business day. Did they forget to ship or did they ship and forget to send the tracking info? I will know Monday evening.

Didn't think you would. I'm betting they don't ship anything until tomorrow, but then again, you told them not to do that, so I'm guessing a phone call or email is in order.
