A question for you diesel historians....

What model is the loco on the front cover of the October issue of MRR..??

What is it and where would I find one..??

I REALLY need it, in UP colors preferably.... Misngth
That would be a Fairbanks Morse H10-44, produced by Walther's (available with DCC and sound - $259.98) but they don't show the UP version available at this time, if in fact they have done that scheme (UP only had 5 of them). Walther's site says they are sold out but you might be able to locate one at one of the on-line dealers. Good luck.

My interest comes from having run across the "remains" of one in Mexico several years ago...
I posted a series of pictures of it, but that was in the old Gauge. I tried looking for them but couldn't find them.... Nope
As for UP....It's the "outside world" road my LC&P connects to.
