Get well soon Mike. You are an icon of this and other forums, and from my first forays into the online quest for knowledge on MRR, your monika has been ever present on most of the sites I visited.
You are an everlasting, your layout inspiring, and I pray you will punch your way through these tough times and once again take to the keyboard to dispense your wisdom to the likes of me.

it's a tough road ahead, but we are grateful that he is at least alert enough to send this message out.

Thank the guys over at RR-L and to Brakie for keeping the pipeline going. We're all pleased that Mike is doing well enough to make contact. We hope is recovery is speedy and complete. I think knowing that he has friends that care has to help.
I got this PM from Rick on Railroad-Line, it's the latest I've seen on Mike (Tyson Rayles)... let's all continue keeping Mike in our thoughts & prayers.

Haven't heard anything from Vince.
We did get a quick post from Mike about two weeks in the Mods Forum. He was able to briefly use a friends laptop but said that it was very difficult for him to use his fingers.
Haven't heard from him since.
Vince said he would only call if there was a significant change so I assume that Mike is still in rehab and is still in the same condition that I reported on in my last update to the group.
If I hear anything I will definitely give you an update.

Yes, I got a PM from Mike two weeks ago saying that he'll be in rehab for a few months yet. At least he's coherent enough to try to communicate, and it does sound like he's improving.

Looks like Mike is in a bit of a holding pattern right now ....hope he continues to improve .

Just got an update from Mike. He says he'll try to be a bit more active on the forums now that he has a more reliable computer to work with. He also says that it'll be another 4-6 weeks before he goes home.
That sounds to me like progress, so all those prayers and good wishes from all of you seems to be working....

Hi guys, thanks so much for all the cards,well wishes and prayers. This had nothing to do with cancer, I had pnemonia (spl ?) and it went septic (it shot thru my whole body). I'm stable now and other than being weak things are getting back to normal other than I still can't walk unaided but the doctors seem to think I can work past that. I would have started posting about 2 weeks ago but the older laptop I had borrowed just wasn't working out.I broke down and bought one so I should be able to start back posting again.

I can't say it any better than Mikey. I am so glad you are able to post, and you get a break because I'm not able to make the trip to NC this fall as I had planned, but by spring maybe we will both be able to be out and about and I'll try to get by to visit.
I'll still keep you in my prayers.
