Hello all

I recently upgraded my Canon Power Shot a couple of weeks ago to the SX40HS, which includes HD video capability. I finally got the chance to try it out yesterday and have uploaded 2 versions to You Tube.

The first is a colour video uploaded using 'normal' upload quality. It is a bit short of full HD quality, but is still an improvement over the Sony Camcorder.

Hi Jon,

Always a pleasure to see videos of your layouts.

Admittedly I'm watching on my iPad, so others milage may vary, but I'm not seeing an improvement in video quality. The colour was very washed out (unless that was an intentional effect) and the camera seemed to be struggling with panning around to follow the train. This was more noticeable on the 'lower quality' colour video.

If I get a chance to watch on my PC when I'm back home maybe it will be better.
