Hi folks,
I repainted a brand new Roundhouse 2-6-0 in QRL&PCo scheme today. It is the DCC ready version and I'm thinking about putting a Tsunami sound decoder in it (I'm not that much a freak about sound in diesel engine, but I love it when it comes to steamer). I was curious if any of you have gone through this process and if you have suggestion.
I've seen Soundtraxx make a tiny version of their classic TSU-1000, is it worth the extra money? Also, what kinf of speeker. I'm a total newbie at this. The tender frame comes pre-drilled for a speaker. I've seen Harold Minky's tutorial but he used 2 speakers. If possible, I would prefer to keep the original metal-cast underframe. I hate lightweight tenders that derails when doing switching moves.
Last question. How do you remove the cab from the engine... Honestly, I'm puzzled and don't want to break everything appart just to modify the window glazing.
