For those of you that don't know I model today.Part of modeling today is equipting all rolling stock and locos with either white or yellowv reflective safety striping.so far I have done six cars since monday for a total of 76 decals ( cars average 5-7 decals per side.)I will with any luck get four more done today. That will leave me vwith only 500 more to do. Eek

Once the N scale are done I will do the HO (not nearly as many to do) then the Z only about 30 cars.
Ok,results of the first 4 days of part 2.

Second pic 3 ATLAS trainman + 1 Bowser + 1 Precision Master

Ten cars,120 decals ,and I am just getting started.I am also replacing plastic wheel sets with metal.
This is why I model the 60's, those didn't exsist back then so one less thing to do! Icon_lol
Moving along nicely, I'm kind of glad someone pays attention to things like this... 2285_ 2285_
This is the second version of this post,I forgot that I had not submitted the first one and hit the back button. Wallbang

Ok, do over time. This post is for the second ten car batch of updated rolling stock.I have come to the conclusion that I am easily entertained as I am enjoying this project (considering that I have roughly 480 more cars to do this is a good sign, right?)

Ok first five cars.(or third five depending on your counting method)

Next five cars.

Some of these cars will get other decals too and those will go into the decal total count. At this point I have used 242 decals on the twenty cars I have done.

A secondary project is to replace as many plastic wheel sets as I can afford to get (this part will put me in the poor house I know. Eek)
480 more???????????

Eek Eek Eek Eek Eek
479 now.

Just did this one up,it is not done yet as I plan to body mount the couplers.I wanted to paint the wheel faces but I can't get the truck frames to flex far enough to get the wheels out so I may end up switching out the trucks. Anyway this car brings the decal total up to 256.Tomorrow I will get back to the other cars.

Life keeps getting in my way on this project.Oh well, so far I have applied 328 decals and had about 10 of then self destruct before they even got close to a car.I have 565 decals left. I get the feeling that by the time I use all of them I will be ready to do something else. Wallbang

I don't have the patience to do 5 let alone 500! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Great work so far!! Big Grin
Ok,got five more cars done for a total of 31 .While I was doing the two blue gons I realized I was missing a chance to do some weathering (actually in their case more weathering). While I was at it I did some light weathering to the black MR & T gon too.I'm thinking the smart move would be to back track and mildly weather all of the cars I have done so far.Or I may just wait and do the weathering this weekend that way I have three more days to add to the stack.

Any way here's the newest batch.

Almost forgot 362 decals applied + 20 bad ones todate..
At 446 decals I've decided my eyes need a short break. The last cars I did got packed away with out any pics taken so I need to dig them out and take care of that .I will probly get back into it next week end because the plan is to use up the decals I have by the challenge deadline.

While I'm taking this short break I have built a concrete dock/ramp for the team track on the club layout, put two ore quads together as a surprize for my friend Bill and weathered three Conrail boxcars for my home layout.
Here is where I left off.Actually I forgot to take this pic before tonight.

and these two pics show what I got done today.
