A bit late, but I am in it none the less.

This is my project. It's 2 Walthers Cornerstone 3 stall roundhouses grafted together to form a 6 stall. The first step is digging it out of the rubble, locating all of the pieces parts and examining everything. It has been buried for about 2 years.
The only work done on it so far has been, pretty much, what you see. I have used spackling compound to add mortar detail to the outer walls. The window mullions and glazing are all in place. The center supports are in place.

Still needs rails, pits, walls, details, etc. This should be fun.

And, I will do my best to provide better pics of the progress. I took this one in a hurry, so I could get it up here and move on with the remainder of the wreck in the basement.

I am thinking that I will use some sprues I have laying around to fill in the gap between the 2 floor plates. Does anyone have a recommendation for the best solvent cement to make the sprue more malleable?

Matt
Matt, lacquer thinner will soften as well as glue them but if you want to bend them you might soften them enough with boiling water.
You do know the dangers of both from your past employment Goldth

I have decided to switch projects. I am working on the Interstate Oil & Gas and setting the roundhouse aside (probably for the next procrastinator's party).
I will post pics of the progress in a little while.
As with a good size chunk of Illinois, my project is under water. Literally.

This is what I was able to accomplish before the flood.

Matt
How are things going with the water problems.
Until you have experienced flooding you don't have any idea what it can do to disrupt everything in your life.
I hope you are able to put everything back together without too much loss.
The building looks great. I like the style, particularly the roof.

Charlie,

At one point I had 50" of water in my basement. I am surprised there is no cracking from it. The water came to the top edge of my benchwork. Most of my MRR stuff was on top of the bench. The insurance, while slow, is handling the claim without argument. I do have some loss, everything but the pictures and personal mementos is replaceable.

Matt
Matt, I am glad you had 50 inch legs, and that the water stopped there. I am also glad the insurance is not hassling over payments, but as you say, personal items can never be replaced.
You have proven to be a good friend to the folks with the trucking company, and I hope that somehow this kind act somehow, some way is repaid by someone in your favour.
