Nice start on that interestingly shaped structure. It'll be an eye catcher!
I got the other building in the Grand Ave lot started and sort of pinned in place. Not an exact replica but the same idea.
Love those odd shaped buildings - great work

I second the motion! This is really coming together and is certainly capturing the look of the area you're modeling.
I really like what I see so far. With these oddly shaped buildings it will be a very interesting little layout.
Thanks everyone, I just have to figure out the roof and the over hang for the loading dock and I should be good. Hopefully by the weekend if I get everything I ordered I can get some power to the tracks and run some trains.
It's been awhile since I've worked on the layout so I jumped around and messed with the grand avenue overpass and stone retaining wall. Not much of an update but I will try to add a road/sidewalk tomorrow
Looking good so far and very nice weathering on those boxcars.

I think the idea of having scenery below track level here was brilliant. I just didn't see that in your earlier planning, but now this is coming together very, very well.
Looks very good - can I ask what you used for the bridge stonework? It is very effective

That also caught my eye...I too would be interested to know...
It's surprising how much railroadin' can be done in a small space... Good job..!!
I got the stone wall from ebay, here is the link for the seller http://www.ebay.com/sch/Model-Railroads ... vliet49286 he makes all sorts of scenery made from cast foam so it was easy to cut the wall the height i needed.
